Gulfphoto Plus Critique

Last november, I was browsing some of the photo sites in gulf regions... until i bumped in Gulfphoto Plus.

The site offers information about photography. And one moment, I just saw myself uploading some photos hoping one could give me a critique.

Five minutes ago, when I checked my mail, there I saw one notification that my photo was selected and given a review.

Thankful as I am, it guides me also to where I should position my hobby in photography... and some criteria how to make photos technically correct and look meaningful.

That photo was taken at Mamzar Park. I was playing around with colors. The one I posted in gulfphoto didnt go through cropping or any post processing. As much as possible, I didn't touch anything of it to keep the essense of the critiques. And now, I learned some techniques re Cropping, Nature and Background.

Out of thousands of thousand of pix, my photo was selected for a quick review. That make sense to me... Thanks to Peter Burian.

10 Things Why I Like South Africa

#10: The Organic Fruits and Vegetables Farm
We were also trying to win partnership w/ the King who look after this farm. Located right after DGV farm in Mutale.

#9: The Tea Farm
Located in Levubu. I'm impressed with the massive production of tea, eucalyptus trees, pepper and a whole lot more. Not to mention, on the left side of the farm, you will see a beautiful lake that offers peaceful and wonderful site for fishing.

#8: The Roses from Ludwigs Farm
Yeah, this is just one of the hybrid roses that we supplied to Sheik Al Nayan's Island -- Al Yassat in Abu Dhabi, UAE. I never encountered such a huge farm who produces all kinds of roses. Not to mention, the farm owner and botanist even artificially produced exclusive breed for Delmon Green (combination of pink, red and white).

#7: DELMON GREEN VENDA Farm
It may be difficult going up and down Joburg to Limpopo, but from an isolated-place-turned-internationally-competitive-farm, Delmon Green Venda will truly be a success -- That's how the partnership of Delmon Green and His Majesty Tshivhase all about.

#6: Montecasino Palazzo Hotel in Jo'burg
I must confess, this is the only hotel I had visited where legal gambling is a FUN! And yeah, don't forget the fortune.

#5: The People of Mutale
Ẁe may have language barrier, but never they disappoint me of their culture and differences. They are very cooperative despite of their innocence. The country may seem racist but with them, every sunrise makes a reason to smile.

#4: The Adventure
It was fun travelling around South Africa. From Jo'burg to Limpopo, From Mpumalanga to Maputo. I even got the chance to visit Durban. But my favorite? Of course, the Kruger National Park. From Crocodile Gate (Border of South Africa and East Africa) to Punda Maria (which is close to our farm). I also was able to check Krugersdorp and Barberton. I hope I can also visit the Cape areas. I heard it's beautiful there (wanna see the Sun City) and the shark adventure :D

#3: The Wild Animals Safari
Ever since I can remember, I always dreamt of doing wild safari. And alas! I had 2 consecutive visits in a span of 1 week. Although, I wasn't able to complete the Big 5. Weather constraint. Coz it was summer that time.

#2: South Africa, Here I come.
April 2005, my 1st South Africa business trip. Need I say more?

#1: My Job
Everything that I learned and discovered in South Africa? It's all because of being the "Halamangkero".
